Q2 Sprint Planning

Let's walk through the roadmap for next quarter. I want to make sure we're aligned on priorities before we commit to anything.

10:00:38 Speaker 2

Sounds good. The biggest thing on my plate is the API migration. We scoped it at three sprints but I think we can do it in two if we parallelize the auth and billing tracks.

10:01:15 Speaker 3

I can pick up the billing track. I've already been in that code for the Stripe upgrade so the context switch would be minimal.

10:01:44 Speaker 1

Perfect. Let's lock that in. What about the mobile push notifications feature? Product wants it for the June release.

10:02:10 Speaker 2

We can start that in sprint two once the auth migration stabilizes. The main risk is the APNs certificate rotation — we need DevOps to set that up first.

what's been said about the API migration timeline?

C

Marcus scoped it at 2 sprints if auth and billing run in parallel. He's picking up billing since he already has Stripe context.

  • • API migration — 2 sprints, auth + billing in parallel
  • • Marcus on billing (has Stripe context)
  • • Mobile push blocked on APNs cert rotation

Scheduled a 30-min follow-up with Marcus for Tuesday at 2 PM.

Common questions

Does my audio get sent to the cloud?

No. Everything runs on your Mac. Your audio files stay on your device. Don't just take our word for it — turn on Airplane mode and verify it yourself.

Do you use my audio to train AI models?

Never. Because Local Transcriber processes everything completely on your Mac, your data never touches a cloud server. We have no vendor relationship with you, no dashboard, and no access to your transcripts.

Do I need to invite a bot to my meeting?

No bot. No meeting link. Transcriber just listens to your system audio. It works with any app: Zoom, Teams, Discord, FaceTime, phone calls, etc.

Can I transcribe both sides of a Zoom call?

Yes. Transcriber captures your microphone and system audio together. If your meeting app plays the other person's voice through your speakers, it'll be in the transcript.

Does this work for live meetings or just saved audio files?

Both. Unlike basic offline transcribers, Local Transcriber captures live meetings in real time, adds speaker labels (diarization), and generates AI summaries on the fly.

Can an AI agent control it?

Yes. Use the CLI, Claude Code skill, URL scheme, or AppleScript. Your agent can start/stop recording, query the live transcript, and read the final .md file directly from disk.

What macOS version do I need?

macOS Sonoma 14.2 or later, on Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Requires speech recognition and microphone permissions.
